It is similar to a Russian prison in that it is militaristic and highly regimented. There are long periods of time where the prisoners are not permitted to speak, which for a nigger will be absolute hell because there is something in them genetically where they have to make noises—especially in a prison/jail setting.

I've never been in prison but, because of circumstances, I know a lot about them and their conditions.

As you probably figured, Japanese prisons are cleaner than US prisoners. You're also safer from other prisoners IF you follow the rules.

What are the rules? They'll tell you and you better fucking remember. A lot of the rules are very exacting hygiene and cleanliness requirements that you better fucking follow?

They give you the rules in a huge book you read as you're checked in. As you can imagine there is only one language.

Can't read Japanese? That doesn't matter as long as you follow the rules. Don't know the rules or even local courtesies? Then everyone will hate you

and the guards have no problem with kicking the shit out of, or turning a blind eye while other prisoners are kicking the shit out of some dumb gaijin that doesn't know the rules.
