Meh. Seems impractical due to range limitations if it functions like a cell phone jammer. Any radio fags want to chime in?

Battery limitations. You can have a small package yell louder, locally, than a larger one but your gonna run out of juice much faster.

But when all you need is to keep them out of your shit for a few hours, this could work well enough. I wouldn't want to carry it anywhere on my person though. Preferably mount it on a vehicle with EM protection.

Backpacks do seem silly. What sort of range could something like that be effective at? Seems rather pointless against suicide drones if all it does is disrupt input. Wouldn't the drone just continue on the same vector it is on when the disruption happens? Or do they just go to hover mode by default? I haven't played around with drones. Just RC planes many years ago.

What sort of range could something like that be effective at?

Depends on the power of each competing transmitter, and local conditions. Potentially it could hit anything within sight, if it were a directional antenna.

Wouldn't the drone just continue on the same vector it is on when the disruption happens?

Depends on how many diversity hires they have programming the thing.

Jammers can work but as soon as these become common drones will be upgraded to home in on such a signal and destroy the source.

Gotta love military gear, who cares if you die of brain cancer a couple of years later

I wouldn't wear any of those jammers on my body, let alone near my head. Maybe his helmet is made of aluminum foil?
