Only idiots setup their off-grid power system this way.

You don't see people putting massive fuel tanks, and generators inside their homes. YOU PUT THEM IN AN OUT BUIDLING for this very reason.

So many things can go wrong with the generator / battery bank inside your home. heat build-up, exhaust fumes, fire, batteries leaking, and explosions. It isn't worth it.

An small, secured, out-building that is not connected to your home, and ~20 feet away is ideal.
