If the Egyptians did practice circumcisions, I would expect it would have been done strictly as a punishment to those who defied the master of the house's orders. There's no way that the upper class would have let a procedure like circumcision become widespread throughout the upper class or nearer to the Pharaoh. Any failure to contain such practices would have been blamed on the leadership in Egypt, which would have resulted in very quick action.

That picture from the wall engraving shows two different events: a forced circumcision and a prepared one. It's most likely that it was considered a "sacrifice" ritual for some small groups of scholars or priests to engage in to show their physical dedication to a higher calling, or a punishment or some kind of outside physical detection method to show disloyalty.
