And this man is running for office in Texas. His (Brandon Herrera's) slogan is "Let's Go Brandon."

He's half beaner, but I've been watching his content for years. He's pretty based, too, although he hides his power level with a wink and a nudge.

Despite being half beaner, he (seemingly) came out of left field. Although, with all the world being a stage...

He often hides his power level, but given that his largest platform is YouTube, he has to. But with the wink and nudge, he gets the message across.

Yeah, that was kind of my point. A wink and a nudge on a mainstream platform goes a long way, even more so that he's now going for office. His speeches have so far been incredibly based, up to and including good ol' wood chipper references.

I bought his merch and donated; here's hoping the local level elections there aren't entirely hijacked, and he're to hoping he doesn't become an assassination target should he win his district. If Brandon has one thing, it's honest integrety.

GAF. And, none of those three things are at my grocery store.

Common knowledge, black powder is pretty shit though and buying large quantities of saltpeter would be suspicious.

[ - ] AmazingFlightLizard 1 point 6 monthsOct 26, 2023 14:52:41 ago (+1/-0)

Are there uses for it, like agricultural or something that would be less suspicious?

Asking for agricultural purposes of course, to increase my amateur hot pepper yields.

Yes, plants love fixed nitrogen and that's precisely what potassium nitrate is.

You can buy saltpeter at Asian markets. Grab one bag every visit.

What's it labeled: Saul Peetah?

I think you mean "serpentine powder". To make it black powder, you have to mix it with water and turn it into a paste, allow it to dry and then carefully grind it back into powder. Without this step it will be very inefficient and inconsistent.

[ - ] x0x7 1 point 6 monthsOct 26, 2023 17:28:21 ago (+1/-0)

I feel like they are not so scared of black powder. You can already buy it in pretty large quantities already made. Hell, you can buy the bullets they are meant for already assembled.

But if it gets the boys and girls on the path of home chemistry then I support it because it's on the path toward cooler shit.

Used to do this when I was a kid to make model rocket engines. One important tip, the burn speed is highly tied to the size of the material and the quality of the blend. The book I had as a kid recommended using a rock tumbler with some brass cylinders/bearings inside to roll around andreally get the powder sufficiently fine (don’t use steel).

I learned this from kirk the kike when I was a little kid.

Funny, I haven’t seen that episode in 30 years, but it was the first thing I thought of on the subject of gunpowder production.

I'm Australian, I make my own powder and it's way better than that shit, the trick is to make your own charcoal, I've found that willow and peppercorn trees local to my area are the best for making the charcoal, for a superior black powder I ball mill the formula, then dampen it and press it into dense pucks (look like mini hockey pucks) then crush it and screen it after drying in the sun, it's elephant stopping

Who has salt peter at the grocery store? And where is the sulfer?

[ - ] Anus_Expander 0 points 6 monthsOct 26, 2023 17:56:17 ago (+0/-0)

So, now all I need is a blunderbuss or musket

[ - ] JoesLegHair 0 points 6 monthsOct 26, 2023 17:45:15 ago (+0/-0)

I don't think saltpeter is easy to find in a supermarket, I remember looking as a kid. Very easy to get online though.

[ - ] PearofAnguishJuniorManager 0 points 6 monthsOct 26, 2023 16:17:29 ago (+0/-0)

When Captain Kirk built that bamboo cannon to blast the slow moving, almost harmless Gorn; I don’t recall him finding any saltpeter to make his gunpowder. Another Hollywood lie.

Electric jews aren't gonna tell you the formula
