Watched Top Gun: Maverick last night

Alright movie, but downright retarded. When Maverick got shot down, I was like "watch, he's gonna steal a plane from the enemy because he's apparently so good at that, then he's gonna land it on the carrier." and thats exactly what happened. It was stupid. Him and his buddy just waltz in to the enemy air base, hop in an old F14 that was there, assumed everything on it worked, then took off from the blown up airfield using a taxiway, narrowly avoiding a collision of course, and flew back to the carrier, dodging SAMs and shot down a couple enemy ultra-high tech 5th gen fighters before running out of ammo and being saved by a the reserve guy shooting down the last enemy plane that was tailing him at the last second.
Very predictable.
It was an alright movie though i guess.

I thought the most retarded thing was the female pilots and non White pilots. Trying to have us believe those were the top fighter pilots in the country. Lol

The female pilot being there was realistic. You can look up TopGun (Navy Fighter Weapons School) class photos and see a few classes with multiple women in them. I still haven't found a nigger in one though. LOL. They were pretty woke with their brown skinned casting in the movie for sure.

I’m not denying that they install female pilots in those positions. But if you ask any good White male pilot they always agree the women pilots are typically awful at the job. They panic under pressure. Yet get propped up and excused all through training because of their front holes and the need for diversity.

The movie plot was derivative as hell, downright idiocy, but the arial footage was what made the movie. I saw it at an Imax. That helped.

I thought it was ok. Just a fun action movie, so don't look too critically at the plot. Wasn't too woke, which was good.

The version they focus tested had Maverick die when he was shot down. The remaining 45 minutes of the film was funeral planning and burial, but it didn’t test well with the audience. 0.0 percent..

I had to turn it off after about 15 minutes, it had way too much diversity BS in it. I don't know how you finished it.

The original one was much better.

The new one was basically Naval Aviation Star Wars and filled with nostalgia bait.

It wouldn't. I don't think anyone keeps those in full working order, fueled and armed up. You would need specialized shops/factories for the parts alone.

F-16/18's are much cheaper to keep in good working order. Plenty of spare parts and techs still alive who have the know-how.
