Imagine thinking that having options for more than one way to do things is a bad thing.

Linux is considered technical because it is less technical. That is that if you want to do something more technical the difficulty curve rises slower in Linux than Windows. Thus people who want to do more technical things chose Linux. But normie level use is pretty much the same in both systems.

Linux is seen as hard because people who do hard things do them in Linux, because if they did them in Windows it would be even harder.

I swear I read somewhere that Linus and some of the other early linux people were jews. His dad was a communist party member, maybe that was it.
