I will happily tip for a delivery person or a waiter.

I'm not fucking tipping for you handing me a cup of coffee across the counter. Fuck off.

I'll tip the batista at a local owned coffee place

I drew the line when I told them my name was Marc with a c. And they wrote my name as Cark. Motherfuckers.

Your story reminds me of an episode of the new cartoon, Royal Crackers about one character named Stebe - with a B.

i remember seeing these tip suggestions at the point of sale things where you pay with a credit card about 12 years ago and i didn't even understand wtf i was looking at, but quickly realized it was someone at the credit card companies furthering the retardation that is the tipping system and those that participate in it.

I stopped going to restaurants in 2017/18 when my friend was trying to get me to tip his faggot friend a 100% tip every time we went in. The final final straw was the time he was trying to get me to tip 200% - i haven't been out to eat much since then, and it's almost 6-7 years down the road. that shit was getting way the fuck out of hand. I was traveling in Europe a year ago and my (other) faggot friend was AGAIN trying to get me to tip 100% at a fucking place that doesn't even have wait staff..... americans are fucking stupid sometimes. i have NEVER understood this tipping shit

I remember going to a restaurant a couple months back and the tip was equal to the meal cost.

I declined and left a 5% tip in cash.

The waiter showed up twice.

No point paying for 2 meals with subpar service.

I also alluded to the point that since 0bidenflation keeps raising the cost of food they can't expect the tip to increase by giving the same service just because food costs are higher.

::blank stare::

As usual.

I tip my barber $20 each time. The screens that ask you to tip people taking your order? Fuck off. Unless it's a local family owned and ran run place I don't press the button to supplement corporate hiring cheap labor. They can increase their wages if staff pay is a concern.

[ - ] Jimmycrackerson 0 points 1.4 yearsDec 16, 2023 21:50:55 ago (+0/-0)*

I like to tip my barber as well. It's $10, but that's still 33%. I'd consider going higher though. But my hair better look exactly like the picture I show them on my phone when they ask me how I want my hair cut. Ill even give them leeway for my cowlick.

And I only tip in cash. So that I know it's going directly to whomever I'm tipping.

You both need to buy clippers with guards & trim your own hair.
For the cost of 1 haircut with tip, you can buy a full clipper set & pair of scissors & practice at home.
It takes a lot of patience and make sure to lay down newspaper or plastic grocery/trash bags for a quick & easy clean up.
Start slow between guards 6 to 12
Do it once a month or so & grow a beard to practice on how to smoothly trim hair.
Yes, you'll fuck up, but it'll grow back. Keep practicing on your beard while developing your reverse skills in the mirror.

If you want to run around looking poor, then yeah.

looking poor

Damn right...blend in with trailer people, nobody would expect anything valuable on me.

It's no different from any other skill you can do yourself. I started shaving my own hair in grade 10 back in high school because I wanted to try it out and self reliance is good. My first haircut turned out okay but my second haircut was horrible. I've been cutting my own and others hair for many many years now (mostly others now). The annoying part is that you have to hold a mirror in your hand with your back facing another mirror if you want to be able to shave the back of your head correctly. Plus, trimming your hair in a straight line on the back of your head is 10x more difficult on yourself than on someone else. That combined with the cleanup you have to do afterwards doesn't make it as worthwhile as it seems to be unless you're dirt poor. It's not something I'd recommend learning as an adult as your first few cuts will look like shit and there's not much return on your skill. There's much more useful things you can do with your time. Also, it's like learning how to be good with computers. People want you to cut their hair for free. I still cut my dad's hair two to three times a year.

The amount of anxiety I get when I trim my balls, my ass, my ass crack, my upper legs, chest, back, and stomach will be magnified 10fold when I try that on my head.

I appreciate the advice, but I am impatient and don't necessarily have a steady hand. I've caught muh ballsack many a time in the clippers.

The thing about getting your scrotum caught in the clippers is you hear it long before you feel it. Before the pain even comes, you done know you've fucked up.

$40 every 2-3 months is worth it. If I needed to save the money, I'd drive an hour and have my step father do it.

That and shit wait staff. No joke.

[ - ] observation1 0 points 1.4 yearsDec 16, 2023 22:46:31 ago (+0/-0)

The thought of these people knowing my tip amount before they provide the service is nauseating enough to make me me not want to go there ever again.

[ - ] Monica 0 points 1.4 yearsDec 16, 2023 20:41:30 ago (+0/-0)

If you tip and think it's a normal thing to do then you're a faggot. Tipping is no different than virtue signaling and wearing an "I voted!" sticker. Bunch of faggot cucks.

[ - ] Sector2 0 points 1.4 yearsDec 16, 2023 19:24:50 ago (+0/-0)

I tipped up to $10 when Instacart was the only way to obtain groceries. They're technically already getting paid, but adding another 5% seemed like a worthwhile incentive to not screw it up.
