Can confirm. I flew to Chicago a few years ago to visit some family in central Illinois and was really surprised by how many tolls there were on that city's freeways.

Illinois Tollway

The fun tradeoff is the state gets their revenue automatically, but there is almost no speed enforcement by law enforcement as a pleasant concequence.

Texas is full of them as well. When I bought a house not in Texas I had to think about the ubers my degenerate ass will take. When you buy a house there, you have to think about how you're going to go to work/ school/ the grocery store.

It's got like 2 and both of which are easily avoidable. The toll on 99 caused basically no one to take it and the whole thing got refurbished. Now it's like $2 to skip 20-80 minutes of traffic. I'd consider that a win. In the East of the USA it's complete trash though. Toll roads still have a bunch of traffic and don't save you shit for time while also being all over the fucking place.

Houston has a fuck ton of tolls and so does Dallas. My friend said he pays close to 250$ a month on tolls alone.

Anyway to answer your question I’m sure it’s the Jews

...it's really quite simple..."burn the coal pay the toll"...

Most likely dates back to Roman times.

Rome encouraged private ownership of roads - free for soldiers of course - and the use of tolls to pay for the building and maintenance of the roads.

This most likely passed down to other governments, as the thought that private infrastructure would be better than government infrastructure through taxes.

It does have some appeal - because the users pay for the road, while those that never use it would not face the financial burden. But the tolls being too high of a burden on those that need the road is definitely a concern, and spreading the costs to everyone through taxes can be good in some cases (rarer and rarer nowdays - schools should revert back to private funding, but that's another topic)

The dumb part I remember is when the governments sell off public infrastructure like roads and such for a quick buck and then the public is now forced to pay tolls on things that their taxes already paid for - and the taxes never go down.... that is corrupt government in action.

onThe other fun part is that in some states, notably Ohio, they set up a "Turnpike Commission" which gets appointed by the governor. These jobs pay 6 figures and all they have to do is meet 2x a year for a couple hours to vote on how high to raise the rates.

No shit!!! I deliever trucks nation wide. I paid 85 dollars in one fucking day in the great lakes area... it's fucking insane I have no clue what our taxes are for except to pay jews here and in Isreal. What the actual fuck! And the moron in the toll booth told me just take the other roads. One trip was 3.5 hours longer not taking toll roads! Separate but 90% equal should be the fucking rule not a 3.5 hour difference

Taxes.

People whine they don't want to pay for road projects, so they fund the projects by taxing the users.

Toll roads seem to only be in Ohio and Illinois in the midwest, some places like Atlanta and LA will have "express" toll lanes...pay a bit to avoid congestion.

In certain situations they make sense. Constructing a bypass to avoid a business corridor with stop lights at every intersection. The existing road is perfectly usable, but unless you have a need for anything there you pay $3.00 to save 30 minutes and a gallon of gas. In some cases it's jews who bribe public officials to allow them to contruct a toll lane on congested interstate corridors. In most cases the public is totally against it, but it is shoved down their throats anyway.
