Pineapple Pizza

Last year, I decided to try pineapple pizza. It was never really something on my radar but It became a common internet trope to hate pineapple pizza. In a similar vain, bacon had been boasted as the best meat when that ended up being entirely false: Beef being the best meat.


Anyway, I tried it, and it was perfectly fine. Like an Italian Beef pizza or a barbecue chicken pizza, it’s generally not my first choice. Who would have known the majority of the internet would be completely wrong and misguided? I wonder what else the majority of people are wrong about. Amazing how quickly the media can sway public opinion.

Pineapple ham pizza is especially good if the pizza has good mozzarella and quite a bit of it.

I have to only slightly agree with you on beef. Beef is the best common meat and absolutely beats bacon. But yak is a better meat. If you can find a restaurant called "Himalayan Wild Yak" you should try that.

I'd imagine it being similar to buffalo, which I don't particularly care for. My favorite is elk that has been taken with a clean kill shot.

Only because it would be pointless. The entire purpose of turning cocaine into a freebase alkaloid is to allow it to be vaporized. While crack can still be orally active, the effects would be diminished. If you're going to put coke on a pizza, just use the damn powder. Or better yet: Don't fuck with stimulants.

Greek Kalamata olives are my pizza topping of choice. Has a zing of its own. Pineapple would be fine, I've had it, but nobody I know goes for that. Kalamata for the win.

I love pineapple. I love pizza. Combine both of them, and you get bleh food. Not inedible, but not really worth eating either.

A friend introduced me to one of the best topping combinations: pepperoni and sweet peppers. It's fetch.

Most pizzerias in Poland call it the "hawaian" pizza. It's with tomato sauce, cheese, ham and pineaple slices (sometimes the slices are cut into many small pieces). It's not my favourite but I don't hate it either. I have rather good memories about it as it was one of the first pizzas I have ever eaten in a pizzeria.

Hawaiian pizzas were my favorite as a kid, never liked pepperoni until adulthood. BBQ is up there still throughout all these years. My go-to a couple years back was pepperoni with creamy garlic sauce topped with jalapenos. Good shit

Generally speaking, pineapple on pizza is hard to pull off, that's why it legitimately has a bad reputation.

The secret is to have a spicy sauce to offset the sweetness.
Adding pineapple habanero hot sauce to pizza sauce is a good start.
Also, the pizza has to have some super fresh salted mozzerella to distribute the flavor.
Most places aren't going to go through the trouble of perfecting this, so you are almost always going to get a shitty pineapple pizza.
