I was sober once in AA for almost six years. That was back in the late eighties, early nineties. I attended my last meeting in 1994 and that was just to meet an old friend who was giving me a pair of SBC heads.

When you were gone we all had a meeting and agreed that -

Saw my old sponsor tonight. Haven't talked to him in years, besides recently on the phone from rehab. Heard he had recovered from cancer before I went in. Meant to call sooner.

Still sober after surgery, cause it came back. Only late 40s or early 50s. Used to shoot up moonshine. Grandpa got busted selling guns to the IRA. Learned how to read in AA. Still sober with stage 4 esophagus
