"Good guy" is relative. The best man for Russia right now? Absolutely. He makes policy for his own country and doesn't try to be an international statesman. He doesn't give a shit about the rest of the world, which is proper for the president of Russia.

I don't purport to tell Russians who should run then, but you are 100% right. The issue I have with him is that he doesn't seem to ask Russians that question. Authoritarianism is very Russian, though. I don't get butthurt, in particular, that Xi is elected by a communist system, and whatever Russia has going for them may be appropriate for Russia, too.
