That is indeed a cool bridge. Better than my bridge, which goes over a freeway. We don't even have a No Jumping sign on it.

Aww, you should get one.

No jumping from bridge, faggots.

I bet that just made you want to jump.

There's not much that doesn't these days.

Bro, I'm not gonna tell you how to live your best life. You do you. Also, film that shit.

Flinging is pretty risky when you're near the edge of a roof, because the forces involved in a 'fling' could easily propel you off the edge too. Safer is a straightforward push or toss.

I elect you as Chairman of the Roof Slinging Squad.

YES SIR!

Well lemme see... there are cypress trees with Spanish moss, the bridge is long enough that it requires steel cable suspension elements, and there's a wide expanse of black water underneath the bridge. There's likely no shore to swim to nearby, the water looks still but isn't, and there are reptiles in it, some larger than you, looking for an easy meal. But, we get a lot of tourists, so we have to put up signs.

There's a swimming area that is netted off pretty close to the bridge. There's definitely gators in that water, but I'd honestly be more worried about the current. This is the Sante Fe River, and not far downstream it sinks underground. Like, the rushing river just stops all of a sudden and you can walk around it.

A absolutely love it up there.
Every time we go to spirit of Suwanee for a festival (and it’s warm) we go to ichetucknee springs tubing, a drink at Ellie Rays, and the IGA in Branford for their smoked ribs. YUM!
We are likely going to buy some land in Gilchrist county by the Santa Fe to have a place away from the niggers here in Pinellas….

Design obviates the need for a 'no fatties' sign.

What's the implication for fencing it off and putting that sign up there? Kids sitting underneath the railing, while jumping down into the stream over and over again...until one broken bone too many or even an accidental death.

That ain't cool...it's the no-fun-police showing that humanity can't even be trusted to use a wooden bridge without hurting itself. Meanwhile; any child walking by will see this as an invitation to balance on the beams or jumping in-between to hit the sign...

The implication is it's unsafe to jump, with one of the reasons visible in the photo. That tangle of branches on the left can trap a jumper and the water looks like it's full of tangles. Not visible are the gators, and place where the whole river goes underground.
