It's been my experience knowing people who cheat in multiplayer games have little to no sense of empathy. They might pretend to have empathy to get their way but it's never real empathy.
Not only that but they have no respect for others and they don't have any care about the future or what their actions cause. For example: cheaters in multiplayer ruin the game. People stop playing the game if it gets overrun with cheaters. That's a fact. And people who cheat don't care about how they ruin games for others.
Cheaters are mentally ill and like to hurt others. Same with grifters and people who come to websites to spam 'anti-whatever the website is about bullshit'. Like the jews who troll this website and others.
In Quake 2(?) I downloaded an aim bot to see what it could do. You could do so many things to cover up that you are cheating (such as max field of view, accuracy percentage, etc.). I cranked everything to maximum. I was not caught even though I was killing everybody by merely walking around. A camper was above and behind me. For a split second my guy turned around, killed him, then smoothly returned to walking forward like nothing really happened. It was depressing to see what could be done.
I mostly stopped online play due to rampant cheating.
My rule since I was little is only after I beat the game do I play around with the cheats and have fun. Make sure suto-save is off while doing it. I am looking forward to GTA6 so I can run over all those twerking niggers or rpg them. May even feed them to the gators.

What does 'cheating' in a video game even mean? Sometimes I play creative mode, other times I play as a character contained within the game world. In Shattered Paradise I often edit maps to my advantage, but I'm not actually 'competing' with the AI.
In GTA V I loved exploring the game world construction by finding constraint defects (wall hacks) you could enter, and particularly those two places you could fly your buzzard into and then under the whole map.
Haven't played multi in years though, so I'm only 'cheating' myself.

I never cheat in multiplayer games. Hardly ever play them to begin with.

Mods often make games more enjoyable, even if they might be considered a cheat.
Online games, never. Although if everyone else is using an exploit in a game that hasn't been patched out yet, sometimes I will also do that.
