Strange special offer at Applebees

Yeah, yeah, goyslop and all that. Well here's the deal for people who enjoy eating out.

Applebees is about to start a special. For only $200, you get a $30 discount for 52 meals. Can be used more than once each week. So suddenly, a $40 meal is only $10 plus tax and tip. Can get it as take out, so no tip needed in that case.

Folks, Applebees is now cheaper over the next year than anyplace else, even fast food crappy meals.

Do the math. It's a saving of $1360. Nobody has ever had a special like this. Offer starts next week.

It's a loss leader that involves math. That and you have to keep going there. Very few people will use up even $200 worth of it.

Update/Edit: I see the game now. "Limited Offer sure to sell out fast". The don't disclose how many of these passes will be allowed. 5? 10? - The game is to get you to sign up and start using their online ordering, perhaps become a new user. No chance in hell any of us get a chance at this.

My wife was a restaurant manager for 25 years with Denny's. She knows food and how restaurants work. Cooks make good wages and no tip expected. Servers get tips for good service at tables. To go no tip expected or earned.

Wanna bet AppleBees is gone before a year is out and AppleBees knows it.

Resataurant food is irresponsible of the customer. If it's independantly owned by a local person it's good for your economy.

Franchises are sharecroppers feeding all the money to assholes. Applebees is owned by Dine Brands Global equity (IHOP) and their largest investor is Vanguard; the enemy. Blackrock is in there too.

On the other hand, if hamplanet maxes the discount, Applebee's has somebody showing up, almost to help "boost popularity".
