Lol. One drunk night I found a super cheap ticket to Seattle. I had never been there before and I just wanted to spend a weekend. Well after I bought the ticket I noticed there was like a 5 hour layover in Portland. So I said fuck it let's see portland. Got there without even booking a hotel. Got on my phone and found like a 4 star hotel for 50 bucks a night. Booked 3 nights. I was there for a day and a half. Their zoo was completely empty. The city still was all boarded up from riots. Homeless people with mental problems just screaming everywhere. I was walking around at like 2am and I swear I didn't see one police officer anywhere. I used to live in New Orleans. So I figured I am tough enough for a bunch of white crack heads. Well the next day I decided to get out of town and go in the mount hood direction. I ended up just booking another hotel out in the Columbia River Valley. It's literally one of the most beautiful areas I have ever seen. There was still a lot of homeless people scattered around out there in tents. But I highly recommend going out there.
