I'm being very indeciviese on what laptop I want/need. I would get a desktop but due to my living situation that's not an option right now. Here are some options I'm considering. I got a budget of $749 - $999

Search for HP Victus, and look at the ones in your price range. I got one a year ago for $800ish.

Months later, Spent an extra $50 to add a 16GB ram card. And another $100 for a 4TB external HD.

If desperate you could buy a Tablet - $200 Lenovo. They are adequate but I'd prefer a laptop but my real choice is always a desktop.

I would check out a local pawn shop also. Niggers steal new shit then pawn them for small cash. So long as you know what is a decent price for hardware you can pick something up.
I get new tools at the pawn shop for the same reason.

Can you give me a description of the tools?

I bought a Milwaukee Packout (wheeled case with handle) that included 2 5.0 batteries, and 4 tools, $400 bucks.
Pawn shops have contractors come in that do the tools as collateral for a cash advance. Sometimes they come back and get the tools, sometimes they do not so the pawn shop will sell them. As long as the tool as value, they can use it for collateral. Think a good table saw for a few hundred, the pawn show will do a cash advance to the contractor for an interest percentage and give them up to 75% of the value (less if they don't have a reputation with the pawn shop). if the contractor defaults on the payment, they sell the tool to get their money and whatever interest they would have charged back.
You need to find a pawn shop that isn't run by niggers.
The first time I walked into a pawn shop was an experience. It was like a walking into a small store.
Don't ever sell something to a pawn shop unless you are really hard up. They will fleece you and make you feel like you got the better end of the deal. It's their job though.

Consider something with a bigger hard drive. 500gb is not that much, you'll have space for a few programs/games but if you want to use it to store media, especially shows/movies, you'll need an external hard drive for those. 1-2tb would give you a lot more room for whatever you're putting on it.

What are you planning to use it for? Gaming? General web browsing? Office stuff? Video editing?

Edit: If you're looking for a gaming laptop, this is way better for under $1000 than either of your first two links, and arguably about as good in different ways as the $1000+ ones you linked to. https://www.newegg.com/black-lenovo-ideapad-3-gaming/p/2WC-000J-02MA7?Item=9SIAA0SK3U2889
