Came out purple and didn't breathe for an immeasurable amount of time but he came around and pinked up, now he's a little yellow but it's just temporary, he'll whiten up.
He took 25 hours to come after waters broke and was excruciatingly painful as he refused to follow directions. I take back all comments I have ever made about women over exaggerating the pain of childbirth. He smiles a lot and laughs at jokes or me being in pain.
Congrats brother. My first son was just born two days ago. It's quite an experience to watch your wife give birth. And best of all: it gives us a legacy, a way for our family names to live on.
Did you decide to not circumcise? My wife wanted to at first, but I was able to convince her not to. My son will not be marked as a jewish slave.
[ - ] Cunt [op] 13 points 8 monthsMar 9, 2024 11:17:25 ago (+13/-0)
Congratulations to you and your wife too then!!! How precious, two new baby goats in the same week.
Yes I'm very anti genital mutilation and my husband initially had the impulse to make his son match himself but I too was able to convince him not too.
My children have no male cousins yet to carry on our family name so my son is much welcomed by my father in law.
I never understood it before...but giving birth is like going into battle. And when I say giving birth, I mean the natural way with no c section or pain medicine. After watching my wife do this, I have a newfound sense of respect and love for her, one I couldn't even conceive of before. What more can a man ask for really?
My ex-wife had the epidural and she felt absolutely nothing during the delivery. But I did fall more in love at that time because of the wonderful gift she had given me. Until a couple weeks later when she quit breastfeeding because it was too inconvenient. That was the beginning of the eventual end of us.
congrats, and God bless your growing family. My wife had all 4 kids with no pain killers or drugs. she is a hero! a couple of our kids needed the billie lights for the yellow jaundice, but if it is mild you can just let the sun shine on him (as long as he is warm).
Cuntgradulations. May God bless you and your son. You already know what to do and what not to do. Just stay the course and be strong for your children until they can be strong for you.
The first time I held my son he was just minutes old. He put both of his little fists on each side of my chest and pushed back, lifted his head up and looked me straight in the eye. It was a very humbling moment.
[ - ] Cunt [op] 2 points 8 monthsMar 9, 2024 17:26:59 ago (+2/-0)
Straight after birth is the best time because they are so aware of everything having just come from the other side of the veil, they know who you are and all the secrets of the universe and then hours later they are all confused and don't understand their hands are attached and controllable.
Came out purple and didn't breathe for an immeasurable amount of time but he came around and pinked up, now he's a little yellow but it's just temporary, he'll whiten up.
babies are tough as hell for that. i came out nearly hanging myself on the cord but i was still too angry to die even as an infant.
[ - ] Cunt [op] 5 points 8 monthsMar 9, 2024 11:41:48 ago (+5/-0)
i was still too angry to die even as an infant.
lol. My son's first cry was just a very brief "wa" accompanied by a 'There, see? I can cry if I want to now leave me alone and stop rubbing me' cranky face.
Congrat's to Mr. and Mrs. Cunt. I miss having little ones around. I have 2 grandkids from my oldest daughter, but she moved away with her husband. Such is life.
Since you're in Australia that would mean he was born on March 9th, yes? If so, he shares the same birthday as my favourite politician: George Lincoln Rockwell. I think it's a sign, Cunt. He's meant to do great things for the White race.
Wow, that must have been a close call. Bet they could see the relif in the air when the lil guy started breathing. Yellow can be a symptom of jaundice, which is easily fixed with bili lights or sunshine.
Congratulations. I'm glad to hear the great news. Is this your first? If so, you are in for one of the greatest blessings in life.
I used to never really pay attention to people that would tell me how great fatherhood is or how it changes you or any of that. I also thought I was just different and that things don't affect me like normal people.
I couldn't have been more wrong. It made a tremendous change in me, for the better. The most surprising part though, was that it made me realize that my parents also felt the same way about me, and I finally realized why they did the things they did. And I also instantly felt bad for all the times I worried them or hurt them.
[ - ] Cunt [op] 1 point 8 monthsMar 10, 2024 07:11:16 ago (+1/-0)
He's my third, but first boy.
I remember when I got a dog thinking there was no way parents loved their kids more then I loved that dog. I did love that dog immensely but I was wrong, loving your child is (or can be) such an overwhelming love that is unimaginable before you have kids. Also never have I ever left a kid outside overnight.
For me though, I'll never understand why my parents did the things they did, but at least I know now that it's not because anything baby/toddler/kid me did wrong.
When my wife was pregnant with our first i caught several older women regaling her with birth horror stories. I called them on it. I asked them why did they then have other children. Women are horrible to each other.
[ - ] Cunt [op] 4 points 8 monthsMar 9, 2024 11:22:25 ago (+4/-0)
Some women share your opinion and for that reason I try to be respectful and wait for after birth to share birth stories but it shares the same purpose as other gossip: to inform and keep us safe. There are important lessons to be learnt from horror birth stories as there are from positive birth stories.
[ - ] Cunt [op] 4 points 8 monthsMar 9, 2024 11:33:49 ago (+4/-0)
My first I had a little gas for part of it, my second was completely natural, I had an epidural at the end of this one (it just took the edge off slightly, so overrated) because it was minutes away from being an emergency Caesar.
@CasualObserver my first two births had me going into this one overly cocky! I have been much humbled and have changed a lot of perspectives on medications during birth and Caesars.
[ - ] Cunt [op] 3 points 8 monthsMar 9, 2024 17:20:02 ago (+3/-0)
I knew that before and I knew that after but in the moment it's pretty scary. It might have been only 3 seconds too but it felt like 10 minutes.
Hospital birth and I'm thankful for it. Always wanted a home birth and it would have been amazing for my first but couldn't afford it and it worked out best going to hospital for the second and third. Midwife lead care though makes a difference.
I should have clarified, I was thinking unassisted home birth. The most cost-effective of all.
Distrusting the medical industrial complex, I've come to learn a LOT about industrialized childbirth.
For example, did you know that if your water breaks, that membrane can heal? Just avoid sex during that time, but the breaking of the water doesn't indicate when baby is coming. It's contractions. Dilation doesn't tell you either; it's contractions.
Anyway, feel free to reach out if you have any interest in hearing more. I'm not here to lecture.
Congratulations, and I wish exuberant health for you, baby, and the whole family.
[ - ] Cunt [op] 1 point 8 monthsMar 10, 2024 07:23:47 ago (+1/-0)
No I think midwives are extremely important, although I don't believe a qualification is necessary, as knowledge can come from experience and books etc. I would not consider a free/unassisted birth.
I do know a fair bit about the medical industrial complex and especially medicalised childbirth, and it has a LOT of negatives but does have it's place although it needs a firm support to manage.
did you know that if your water breaks, that membrane can heal?
No! Ive not heard that. Interested how that would heal because water breaking means the membrane has broken (which pops like a balloon) AND the mucus plus has gone. I have heard the mucus plug can regrow if lost early but not the amniotic sack.
The big thing about waters breaking is the infection risk but the biggest infection risk after waters breaking is cervical checks.
Always happy to chat about birth, feel free to make a post and tag me or pm.
Did you skip the epidural? It's fairly common for women to think they won't need one then change their minds reallllll fuckin quick when the action starts.
[ - ] Cunt [op] 2 points 8 monthsMar 9, 2024 17:15:34 ago (+2/-0)
lol I did not. I didn't need one the first two times, I didn't even use any gas with #2. The first two were really not that bad for pain.
I changed my mind when I thought I was going to need a c section because it was so excruciatingly painful I knew there was something wrong. The boy didn't want to come out -also he was massive.
It did almost nothing for the labour pains but managed to take the edge off every so slightly enough to get the job done with some help (a little snip, and some pulling and turning baby by hand). The epidural was great for after pains, stitching and fundal "massage" (heavy kneading).
