Where I grew up in the early 60's the school you attended was determined by geographical location. Most communities had a segregration line, in this community it was the rail road tracks. The school I attended had been constucted at the turn of the century, it was a very old building. The county commisioners constructed a brand new single story school across the tracks for the niggers. They could not whine because their school was much more modern. It worked until one fateful day in December the old school building caught on fire and went up like a torch. No fatalities, fortunately it was on a Sunday. The only thing that could be done was to transfer all of us to the nigger school where our classrooms were temporary trailers. They had to integrate ( This was 1968) Most of the teachers who worked at the old school retired rather than have to deal with niggers.
