@GuyWhite...correct, they're still not up to our intelligence level and never will be, most are dumber than fuck, but the majority are aware of this and don't try to fake it, there's the few percentage who are inherently mean cross and miserable and really do hate the White Man but they've been figured out and know not to fuck with a lethally superior element although the odd one has tried, desperation can be a deadly motivator and the thing is, in the 3rd world nobody gives a fuck about the loss of a "bloodclot"...but you're quite right about Jamaican islanders, most are not lazy....I remember one time we were in an area near Black River, fucking scorching hot and the air is filled with red bauxite dust, we've got 175 and 250cc Yamaha Enduros (DT), MC %ers on Jap bikes but that's the way it is down there, but anyways one of our Bubbas sinks a piston and rod...we've got sat phones and get through to our buddies at the Santa Cruz constabulary who had a "Rastafari" show up with a very limited equipped tool box, cardboard box, he used a hammer and chisel to break the hold on torqued head bolts and mostly every other nut and bolt was removed with vice grips, pliers or imperial dimension sockets of close size to metric.. he had that engine dismantled in a little over an hr, he had 3 dismantled engines in an old duffle bag, a bag of parts basically, he siphoned a cup of petro from each of our bikes and into a javex bottle that was cut in half so he could clean parts and as for gaskets he used pipe dope except for the head and jug which he reused by removing the original ones with a razor blade and coconut oil, he would lift an edge of the existing gasket with the blade and follow the lift with the coconut oil, the thing with the coconut oil is that it seeps in between the seal of the gasket and the metal and frees it up with no disfigurement of the material, we were impressed, we weren't down for anymore than 3hrs and then off and running...and he refused to take $500.00 US, fuck all to us, he said that he was ordered to not take anything...mind you the cops,JDF, Immigration, government officials and airport security that we were greasing cost us a pretty penny but actually even they were reasonable...and stuck to their word, unlike those fucking Ticos and Nicos across the water in Centro America, their word had a different meaning every fucking time, a negotiated deal always comes with variables...anyways I thought I'd throw that in there seeings how you stated what you did.
