I have never understood why Mint is always the 'distro' that's at mentioned first. Pop!_OS is the real shit , man. Though they are in the process of re-writing it from scratch as the current Gnome based DE is definitely showing its age.

Whenever I have to work on a Windows PC it's like being dragged over broken glass. Linux has its issues -- oh man, does it ever -- but compared to Windows it is like a breath of fresh air.

The problem is all modern versions of all operating systems, suck shit.

Ive used all of them a fair amount for a very long time and the best you get is windows 95-xp. Since you can't use these in modern days, every is left with shit. So they fling it around as there is nothing better to do.

Perhaps because mint isn't the golden distro either? I'm happy with Ubuntu LTS generally. Simple, vastly easy, low mental overhead. Tried a bunch, but in the end I don't want to be an Arch bro and spend a lot of time dealing with the computer. I just want it to work so I can go about my day.
