Over 1.9million residents in Jakarta, Indonesia's capital, could be forced to relocate in a very ambitious $30billion plan with the first people set to move-in to the new city by the end of October 2024.
But Jakarta has over 11 million people. Let the poors take one for the team, I guess.
My guess is that in twenty years, the old city will have over 25 million residents and that it will not suffer from imagined sinking or higher sea level.
