The reality is that the only thing they are truly concerned about is their ability to brainwash those kids. Social media is competition to the legacy media and academia systems they control and use to brainwash everyone while their brains are malleable. Their biggest concern is that kids are getting more conservative.

So, members of an age group that never could set the clock on their fucking VCR (to get it to stop blinking) is going to attempt to prohibit access to tech that these kids have been immersed in from birth, in order to prevent them from seeing anything not pre-approved by the ADL.

If there is a quicker way to get the kids to despise them and be suspicious of anything they say, I can't think of it.

And when I was in school it was illegal to sell kids cigarettes. But every lunch break, there we were, out back, smoking like chimneys.

The quickest way to encourage that age particular group to do ANYTHING is to make it "against the rules".
