How many find paper straws disgusting?

I can't drink from paper straws. It makes me feel nausea. I just bought regular plastic straws from a chinese 1 dollar supermarket and put them in my car. Now every time I have a drink, I just use my own straw from the car.

I think straws are mainly used by kids. I don’t drink soda however so I rarely need a straw. I got the paper one once or twice and it was disgusting. It smelled with ink, it was impossible to drink with it. I threw it away quickly.

They piss me off so much in a couple of different ways. First off, unless you inhale your soft drink like a Beetus vaccuum, the straw will start to disintegrate in your drink in about 10 minutes and be rendered completely fucking useless. That is why I now always take an extra straw. Secondly, when the straw inevitably does that, it reminds of of all of the other inefficient and moronic faggotry we have to suffer for these Leftist idiots.

What about paper cups? They're lined with chemicals that prevent the paper from becoming soggy from having liquid poured in. Microplastics or whatever is in Styrofoam are the only alternatives, and I'm not fond of those options, either.

I just love the way the paper straw wicks and then turns soggy and sends paper-paste into my drinks. Mmmmmmm.

Glass or ceramic straws are probably the best way to go. Just don't bite down on them too hard.

Yeah. This is the idiocy of it all. The cup is like 5 times the plastic of the straw. For some reason, most of these franchises abandoned the waxed paper cup in the 1990’s.

No clue. I haven't used straws regularly since I was a kid, but I am curious as to what the experience has been with the metal and bamboo straws.

I don't litter but I stopped giving a fuck about green shit because it's all performative. None of the people pushing it in Hollywood or the government are doing anything about the main causes of it in India or China. They feel their part is wagging their finger at a smaller amount of people causing a much smaller fraction.

There is a downside to your strategy. Plastic in a car is going to get UV exposure, breaking down the plastic over time, and releasing micro-plastic as a result. I don't know how many you bought but I would put them in the trunk. Even light UV exposure means that plastic is now shedding.
