I recommend getting a list of every Microsoft-owned IP address and adding them to the blocklist of your home’s modem/router manually. By doing so, Windows (*which ignores the hosts file*) can’t bypass your blocks and can never call home for anything, including updates and telemetry.

In addition to this, I'd recommend the use of a firewall that blocks all connection attempts in or out by default. Interactive firewalls are great because they'll notify you when any connection attempt is made that you haven't set a permissive rule for.

win10 spy disabler, wpd, they make a restore point. Made some changes, started again and everything works properly. Will try some others too.
