What is it about scifi dystopia that they feel they have to treat as a manual. In 1984 their tvs couldn't be turned off and were always listening. Guess what, your tv doesn't really turn off, and the CIA's weeping angel program bounces viruses around that turn them into bugs they can turn on and off.
