Amazing how familiar traits run parallel to habits. I'm certain that doggo in heaven is wondering, hey, who's slapping my face?

We have a dog who passed a couple years ago. Our other small dog grew up with her as a puppy- absolutely loved her and would follow her everywhere she went. We have a few videos of her and when we play one that has her barking on it our little dog gets super super excited and will run around the house frantically looking for her. It’s funny at first but becomes very, very sad as the poor guy starts getting desperate and quite sad looking for her and realizing she isn’t here.. It breaks our heart. 😞

I swear I just had something in my eye that wasn't a tear.

I will say cats are much more emotional and attached when people say they are. The signs are more subtle and they take a lot more for granted but they are very attached animals
