We’re not. Regulations prevent small ones.

[ - ] Rebooted 3 points 10 monthsJul 5, 2024 12:44:03 ago (+3/-0)

When Toyota announced its new modular, cheap, "small" truck there was considerable interest in the US for it. Stupid US regulations which allow more emissions for larger wheel bases actually encourage larger vehicles, so we can't get the new truck.

Meanwhile, Ford goes and converts a Fusion into a Mavrick. Same size, same engine, just "truck shaped".

Because we are big people. Its not our fault you are all midgets. Leave us alone .

[ - ] Trope 4 points 10 monthsJul 5, 2024 09:01:47 ago (+4/-0)

Road trips with multiple people.

And the Ford F150 is like the Vanilla Latte of the suburban basic bitch man.

[ - ] FreeinTX 4 points 10 monthsJul 5, 2024 06:47:20 ago (+4/-0)

More room to put shit.

Seems obvious.

[ - ] ilikeskittles 3 points 10 monthsJul 5, 2024 08:30:22 ago (+3/-0)

They aren’t. You can’t even find a decent sized “car”. Even the trucks are smaller

[ - ] KosherHiveKicker 1 point 10 monthsJul 5, 2024 08:56:21 ago (+1/-0)

What is the best selling Truck in America, and what size it it? (Hint: F Series)

A Faggot 150 is not very big.

[ - ] bobdole9 3 points 10 monthsJul 5, 2024 12:46:15 ago (+3/-0)

Bring back full size eight foot beds and I will consider it an actual truck.

[ - ] KosherHiveKicker 1 point 10 monthsJul 5, 2024 09:07:48 ago (+1/-0)

It's almost x2 larger than any European shit-box death trap.

[ - ] ilikeskittles 4 points 10 monthsJul 5, 2024 09:12:19 ago (+5/-1)

I have a 2001 Excursion 4x4 7.3L diesel . Now that’s a truck. You can keep your little Fag 150.

I don't even own a Ford. I drive customized Jeep 4x4s.

Oh you’re a yuppie?

[ - ] HeyJames 0 points 10 monthsJul 5, 2024 09:23:29 ago (+1/-1)

That's not proof

[ - ] Cunt 2 points 10 monthsJul 5, 2024 10:11:28 ago (+2/-0)

I don't think a single one of them would fit in between the lines of an aussie car park, not even the Parents With Prams or disabled spots, unless you include the yellow marked space you're not supposed to park in but use for wheel chair ramps.

[ - ] Sector2 1 point 10 monthsJul 5, 2024 13:33:18 ago (+1/-0)

The ranchers management policies for the Australian herd seem particularly severe.

[ - ] TheOriginal1Icemonkey -1 points 10 monthsJul 5, 2024 11:57:06 ago (+0/-1)

Parents with prams?
That’s gay as fuck.

[ - ] Cunt 1 point 10 monthsJul 6, 2024 05:18:09 ago (+1/-0)

*Hetrosexual as fucking for procreation.

I used to only park at the very back of the car park before kids, now I get stressed if we can't get a spot near the door as I have a runner.

[ - ] BulletStopper 2 points 10 monthsJul 5, 2024 10:43:39 ago (+2/-0)*

Because fuck you, that's why.

If your truck doesn't automatically cause tree-hugging faggots to shit themselves in fear, clutch their pearls and immediately take to their fainting couches, it isn't fucking big ENOUGH.

(The hook in the front would be useful for displaying the corpses of dead enemies. But I have none left. sad_face.jpeg)

[ - ] Anotherone 2 points 10 monthsJul 5, 2024 09:12:42 ago (+2/-0)

Simple.

It is because in the early days Rockefeller, and JP Morgan and to some degree Ford bought all the trolly cars.

They mothballed all of them in Ohio and a few other places, then made cars so cheap the mobility was ingrained with Americans.

Roads were built during the new deal to facilitate artillery and planes across the nation (why our roads are bigger) and Americans thought it was for them.

Cleveland and Cincinnati I heard had electric rails 100yrs ago

Edit: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lake_Shore_Electric_Railway
Cleveland had it 120yrs ago

Cincinnati had electric rail almost 150 years ago

[ - ] Anotherone 3 points 10 monthsJul 5, 2024 10:03:08 ago (+3/-0)

You start really looking into it and every small town and city had public use rail. Go around America and you will see the remains of rail in the streets or under them where they were just paved over.

[ - ] Metanoid 2 points 10 monthsJul 5, 2024 09:11:56 ago (+2/-0)

A few years ago some eco laws were passed making ridiculous emissions standards on all road vehicles making standard cars more expensive. Vehicles over a certain size were exempt with the assumption those were induatrial or work vehicles.
Instead of complying with retardedness. Manufacturer made standard vehicles larger.
Cue end theme to that Larry David show

[ - ] KosherHiveKicker 2 points 10 monthsJul 5, 2024 08:53:44 ago (+2/-0)

Why are Euro-Faggots obsessed with tiny shit-box death traps that literally fold up on impact, or even worse that get pushed under other cars in accidents?

[ - ] germ22 2 points 10 monthsJul 5, 2024 08:01:38 ago (+2/-0)

Maybe because there are still plenty of people who prefer to buy domestic vehicles, and the big three automakers of america do not build cars anymore and only trucks and SUV's.

[ - ] texasblood 1 point 10 monthsJul 5, 2024 17:20:42 ago (+1/-0)

Big Car ride

[ - ] Lost_In_The_Thinking 1 point 10 monthsJul 5, 2024 11:12:49 ago (+1/-0)

I can't speak for the rest of the country, but in California, the vast majority of trucks are driven by Mexicans. It's a status symbol among them, and only a minority of them actually use their giant trucks for work.

How they afford these expensive late model vehicles is anyone's guess. I assume since they all receive various government subsidies, the vehicles are provide at low cost.

Neri, as usual your post is simplistic, wrong, and utter fail.

[ - ] HeyJames 1 point 10 monthsJul 5, 2024 09:23:41 ago (+1/-0)

I have 3 trucks

[ - ] boekanier 1 point 10 monthsJul 5, 2024 08:42:43 ago (+1/-0)

gasoline is cheap

[ - ] Conspirologist 1 point 10 monthsJul 5, 2024 06:35:51 ago (+2/-1)

As simple as it gets. Because US has huge roads. EU has so tiny roads that it's impossible to drive or park a truck.
