James Magnussen becomes first high profile Australian Olympian to volunteer for 'steroid games' after demanding $1.5million to compete 'juiced to the gills' The Age has reported that the champion swimmer has embraced the opportunity to vie for a $1.5million bounty in the Enhanced Games, an unconventional competition permitting performance-enhancing drugs.
Australian entrepreneur D'Souza is spearheading the Enhanced Games, a controversial competition where performance-enhancing drugs are given the green light to see what the human body is capable of.
Olympic athletic performance peaked in the 80s, there is a biologic limit to what the human body is capable of.
The last several Olympic Games have noticeably and provably been about state sponsored pharmaceuticals, thrusting individuals to push the envelope regarding human endurance through athletic performance-enhancing drugs.
Several nations have been embroiled in performance-enhancing drug doping scandals, trying to beat regulators and successfully so, for many, many years. But no one remembers 2nd place, they only remember the winner, even when medals are stripped off them two Olympics later.
All competitive athletic endeavours are a presently a joke, athletic competition has become a parody of modern civilisation.

1. The juiced up athletes will have a higher incident rate of heart attacks. Watching someone have a heart attack in the pool might be a sight they don't want seen.
2. I suspect everyone is already "juiced to the gills" and perhaps the times won't change much.
