That brought back memories. My stupid very young self did exactly that when I had a grease fire trying to fry myself up some bacon. My first instinct was to rush the flaming pan into the sink, and start pouring water on it which resulted in a flaming mushroom cloud going all the way up to the ceiling. Fortunately, nothing caught fire but the ceiling did show visible smoke marks. Got everything cleaned up the best I could, but when Mom came home she saw the ceiling and right away knew I had a grease fire. Surprisingly - no, shockingly - she wasn't really mad. Just told me to be careful and never to run water over a grease fire. A lesson well learned.

Interesting tidbit there and, while more or less any outcome is going to be better than a kitchen fire, I'd vastly prefer the outcome of smothering it with a towel/blanket (or, as anonbro suggested, shove the whole flaming mess into the oven) to discharging a fire extinguisher in a confined space.

Yes, of course I know that now. But I didn't over 55 years ago. I know we didn't have anything like that in the house back then. Best we could do then for a grease fire was baking soda.

The man's name is literally Mother's Milk, and everyone calls him "MM." He was a soldier that beat up his CO and nearly got court-marshalled. The entire subplot of him in the show is that he's got a lot of anger issues and he's eventually the most contained and logical one of the group. Lol.

I think the whole thing with niggers and smoke alarm chirps stems from the fact that niggers can't rely on each other to help them do a damn thing. Most niggers don't even have a ladder to help them reach these places and even then, they don't stock spare batteries for changing them out in advance. It's accurate that niggers don't see or plan in advance, they just live in the present, and the "future" version of them is the one that will receive all of their consequences.
