The messed up part is the map in 2010 had white and black populations with contrasting colors. In 2020 they changed it to this puke yellow and puke brown color so it's more difficult to differentiate

Nice mapping but if you downloaded FBI murder stats (per 1000) by zip and percentage of black by zip then create a correlation column, use that to create your map. Looking at your maps the Hispanic areas in Baltimore are not as bad as I thought.

This is an excellent post! I just wish they hadn't gone out of their way to use the colors in the legend that are literally the worst for those of us that are colorblind.

Just look at crime maps. Internet footprints and search terms are forever (except Hunter/Hillary emails which vanished from all servers)

There are a lot of useful overlapping data points found in GIS map systems besides that...

Be cautious because entire areas can change overnight with a few fake elections with major changes in local policy and business. Sometimes (in a blue moon) it's even good.
