I paid $30 for mine. And $12 more for keycaps. You're just retarded.

This is the correct answer.

The keyboard didn't get more expensive, our money lost value and soon won't be worth wiping your ass with

Ducky Shine still $170, basically same price as it was 10 years ago.

You can get brand new, old stock keyboards of all models on EBay for less than $30.00 USD.

Still in the box, and sealed.

A $2 Chinese knock off that won't last three months of heavy use for $30 is not a good deal.

Where are you shopping? I worked in a second hand store for years and even cherry sold for about $75. Not top end but good enough

No the hell they are not. There's a zillion out there for under $100, and plenty under $75. I've been beating the absolute dogshit out of Velocifire TKL for four years and it was $35

I think you are just being picky. You want a luxury item for the made in china price.

Aliexpress. All made in China anyways. I bought a 60% for the basement for $20

I bought a Das Keyboard back in 2015. Payed $200 for it. Today you will pay $200 for it.

whats the gain in mechanical? Does it type for you?

[ - ] HelenHighwater 0 points 10 monthsJul 31, 2024 15:29:17 ago (+0/-0)

Tactile bliss, solid feel, fast as hell, no ghosting, every key is individually replaceable / swappable. For example, if you like light typing, but are a spacebar slammer, you can swap out the stoke / pressure on just your spacebar switches.

It is like the Palomino Blackwing 602 of keyboards.

Its like the using turn signal in a mercedes vs a base model corolla. Except every time you press a button on the keyboard.

Feedback, a longer lifespan, and a satisfying clicking noice.

I could see something like more consistent key press mechanic etc be valuable... less wiggle etc. Guess I'd have to try one to know.

Worked with different brands for about a decade. My take is the raised keys make it easier to know where you are on the keyboard without looking. They are significantly easier to clean.
