I think there’s probably something beneficial to tobacco use. I’ve heard it increases testosterone so that’s one theory.
It reminds me of the raw milk issue. Why is the government so pissed when adults decide they want to drink milk that hasn’t been processed in a factory?
Tobacco is grown in over 100 countries, but the major producers are: China: The world's leading producer, accounting for nearly 40% of the world's tobacco. The tobacco industry is a major boost to local economies in China, paying an equivalent of about $141.9 billion in taxes a year. India: A major producer of tobacco. Brazil: A major producer of tobacco. United States: A major producer of tobacco, with the Virginia-Carolina tobacco belt being the main area of cultivation. Zimbabwe: A major producer of tobacco. Indonesia: A major producer of tobacco. Zambia: A major producer of tobacco. Pakistan: A major producer of tobacco. Turkey: A major producer of tobacco. Malawi: A major producer of tobacco.
how dare america be on that list.Get them off by any means necessary. Good luck getting a loan to fix your tobacco farm if its already being deemed as being "dead and worthless" . You'll get that loan only if you agree to farm crickets or soy, boy.
It's not the tobacco, its the nicotine. Nicotine is beneficial in the proper dose. Humans are remarkably resilient, cigarettes do not kill you fast enough. They do lead to expensive longterm medical care that the government AND insurance companies would rather not pay for.
In Oz 'health' was used to jack up the price of cigarettes six fold, then vapes come in and eat into the tax dollars so vapes get banned. Oh and nicorette spray went from $25 to $75 for a twin pack.
In Victoria safety = tax revenue. Cigarettes will never be banned and cars will never be speed limited because the loss of revenue for tax and speeding fines would send the nanny state broke.
Sure, faggot cuck. Keep believing in the mainstream narrative. Low carb and anti sugar is absolutely mainstream bs, it’s not just on youtube your homosexual gurus regurgitating bullshit, even the doctors are recommending it
Smoking and nicotine are not inherently bad; it's the use and the temperance of the user that affects the outcome. Those who smoke and control their intake have boosted levels of critical thinking and focus. There's been studies that determined conclusively that men who smoke and then died had spouses that lived longer than spouses that had husbands who didn't smoke.
I smoked for years on and off. I just recently quit again and I haven't smoked for about 3 months. I've noticed that the frequency of irregular heartbeats has dropped significantly, but I'm under a constant amount of work stress and I've been seeing the link between how smoking calms me down vs. just taking the habit away. I'm probably going to stay clean for half a year to a year longer and then pick the habit back up again when I feel the time is right.
Tobacco does not cause cancer, despite what the US government and CDC say. Tobacco use been associated with some diseases, but it does not have a one-to-one correlation. If most tobacco users do not get cancer, it should not be called a cancer causing substance.
It's banned because 1) nicotine is habit forming, 2) governments are nanny-states and make decision they think are "good" for the public, and 3) they are aware that making tobacco more expensive and more difficult to purchase and use will demoralize people, and 4) governments can then tax the shit out of it, making it a cash cow for any government.
The one thing I’ll never forget about tobacco is the amount of lead isotopes natively found in the plant. It is to great benefit that the majority of us do not damage our lung and cardiovascular tissues through smoke inhalation.
I grow tobacco in the garden because it absorbs heavy metals from the soil. Anyone growing their own for consumption though should be able to control that, so the plant isnt necessarily harmful on that basis.
My mother smoked so much when she was pregnant with me that my relatives called me puff when I was born. Both parents were heavy smokers, exposed to second hand smoke and my allowance at 12 years old was a carton of cigarettes weekly. I smoked until I was around 45. I was doing around 2 packs a day. Had a lot of health issues after quitting. Think about it, I had been exposed to nicotine prenatally and my entire life up to that point. My lung xrays were consternating to medical providers. No scarring, discoloration...
It's a performance enhancing drug. It makes you sharper while calming you down. Obviously, it's not healthy to smoke anything. I don't think it's anywhere near as dangerous as they'd like us to believe. It makes a really good scapegoat for all the other shit that actually gives you cancer.
I say smoke 'em if you got 'em. Even if it is marginally dangerous to smoke, there's so many other things that can kill you anyway. Might as well enjoy the euphoria of cigarettes and coffee.

Smoking dried tobacco indeed makes it much less worse than the stuff with thousands of preservatives. Doubtful that starting to smoke at a later age will take your time to kill you, unless you smoke a lot.

So buy lots of cigarettes, because they really need the money. Just don't smoke them.

They give the illusion they care and they're increasing the cost to "force you to stop" they can make insane money while justifying the price hikes.
They're almost 80% tax.
Same thing with alcohol. Too much money in it to ban.

Cigars are non-addictive. You don't crave them.
Some days I just don't feel like having a cigar, or don't have time. No problem.

I smoked for over twenty years, vaped for a couple. both of those are highly addictive, and you constantly crave them.
I can go days without a cigar, to no noticeable effect.
So as far as I am concerned they are not addictive. I've been awake for hours, and I haven't even thought about a cigar until just now.
