This is for the retards that claim light and radio waves can bend.

submitted by McNasty to SPACEisFAKEandGAY 9 monthsAug 4, 2024 13:01:54 ago (+6/-7)     (SPACEisFAKEandGAY)

Claiming that light "bends" can be misleading because it suggests that the individual photons or light waves are inherently curving or changing direction on their own. In reality, the phenomena that cause changes in the path of light involve interactions with materials or wavefront properties, where the fundamental movement of photons remains in straight lines. This illustrates why saying light "bends" can be misleading:

1. Straight-Line Travel:
- Core Concept: Photons, the particles of light, travel in straight lines unless they interact with a medium or particles.
- Misleading Aspect: Using the term "bend" suggests that photons deviate from straight-line motion intrinsically, which is not accurate.

2. Refraction:
- Mechanism: Refraction occurs when light changes speed as it moves from one medium to another, resulting in a change in direction at the interface.
- Photon Perspective: Photons travel in straight lines within each medium. The "bending" occurs only at the boundary where the speed changes, not as a continuous curve.
- Misleading Interpretation: Describing this as bending overlooks the fact that photons are still moving in straight lines within each medium, and only their path changes direction at specific points.

3. Diffraction:
- Mechanism: Diffraction involves the spreading of waves around obstacles or through openings, leading to interference patterns.
- Photon Perspective: Photons travel in straight paths, but the overall wavefront appears to bend due to constructive and destructive interference.
- Misleading Interpretation: Saying light bends here ignores the straight-line travel of individual photons and the wave nature responsible for the observed pattern.

4. Scattering:
- Mechanism: Scattering involves photons being deflected by particles in different directions.
- Photon Perspective: Each photon travels in a straight line until it interacts with a particle, causing a change in direction.
- Misleading Interpretation: Describing this as bending conflates the redirection of photons due to interactions with an inherent curvature in their path.

5. Precise Terminology:
- Importance: Using precise terminology helps avoid misconceptions about the nature of light and its behavior.
- Alternative Phrasing: Instead of "bending," terms like "changing direction," "redirecting," "refracted," or "diffracted" more accurately describe the phenomena without implying an intrinsic curving motion.

In summary, while the observed path of light can appear to bend due to interactions with different media or obstacles, the photons themselves always travel in straight lines between these interactions. Thus, saying light "bends" oversimplifies and misrepresents the actual physics involved.

Different wavelengths do different things differently.

No. The laws in wave propagation are pretty solid. You can say that they do different things if you're suggesting that they penetrate different materials and reflect off of other, but as far as propagation goes, they all follow the same laws.

Thanks for admitting you're wrong.

Lol. I never even said anything about gravity. We were talking about wave propagation. If you're claiming that gravity affects light, then you're claiming that an object at a distance would appear to be obstructed from the bottom up since gravity would be pulling those light photons first and they would be colliding with the Earth. Your argument proves how the horizon works on a flat Earth.

I never even said anything about gravity.

You didn’t need to. You’re too stupid to understand the topic of discussion or how it directly relates thereto.

We were talking about wave propagation.

Gravity moves in waves. Light moves in waves. Gravity bends light.

If you're claiming that gravity affects light, then you're claiming that an object at a distance would appear to be obstructed from the bottom up

From the back to the front. The diameter of, say, Andromeda is ~100,000 light years. So a picture of Andromeda at a moment in time shows the frontward stars 100,000 years younger than the backward stars. There’s distortion there, yes.

since gravity would be pulling those light photons first and they would be colliding with the Earth. Your argument proves how the horizon works on a flat Earth.

Nope. You’re just too mentally defective to comprehend the topic.

Thanks for admitting that gravity affects light waves creating the illusion that objects are obstructed from the bottom up at long distances.

Well, You're just confusing me cuz one second you admit that gravity is affecting light but then you go and tell me that the Earth is round because we don't see the bottom of objects at a far distance.

You got to pick one or the other.

[ - ] big_fat_dangus 1 point 9 monthsAug 4, 2024 17:40:42 ago (+1/-0)

No you don't, those two things are not mutually exclusive you retard.

[ - ] McNasty [op] 0 points 9 monthsAug 4, 2024 17:49:10 ago (+1/-1)

Lol. Of course not. Really a centers to work. You always have to forget about the last thing you explained. Nothing ever works together.

[ - ] big_fat_dangus 0 points 9 monthsAug 4, 2024 19:01:26 ago (+0/-0)

Not in your mind, because you're too stupid to understand it. That's why you're a flat tard.

[ - ] McNasty [op] 0 points 9 monthsAug 4, 2024 19:02:32 ago (+1/-1)

Of course not in my mind. I'm not a retard. I know that this video is fake as fuck.

Two words, gravitational lensing.

[ - ] McNasty [op] 0 points 9 monthsAug 4, 2024 14:17:03 ago (+2/-2)

Is a jewish word. Lol. It means nothing. Do you know what post hoc reasoning is?

[ - ] Theo 3 points 9 monthsAug 4, 2024 15:15:11 ago (+3/-0)

Fuck off, loser.

[ - ] McNasty [op] -1 points 9 monthsAug 4, 2024 15:43:24 ago (+1/-2)

Whatever faggot. Your jewish space fantasies are retarded.

[ - ] Theo 1 point 8 monthsAug 4, 2024 23:00:29 ago (+1/-0)

Sunsets, sunsrises, and eclipses are not jewish space fantasies, you fucking dickhead.

This is how they sold faggots like you in the 60s.

https://files.catbox.moe/g7vskw.mp4

But you know, If you want to claim that the Earth is a globe, you just have to use several jewish sources. No big deal.

Take your sexual fantasies elsewhere, cunt, and stop pretending that observing ordinary astronomical events relies on jewish sources.

[ - ] McNasty [op] 0 points 8 monthsAug 4, 2024 23:08:36 ago (+1/-1)

You're just another jew with nothing to say about the video so you resort to the normal jewish degeneracy.

[ - ] Theo 1 point 8 monthsAug 5, 2024 01:22:26 ago (+1/-0)

I'm not the one making the false accusations here, shithead.

[ - ] McNasty [op] 0 points 8 monthsAug 5, 2024 01:23:38 ago (+1/-1)

What do you think about the video?

[ - ] big_fat_dangus 2 points 9 monthsAug 4, 2024 17:04:08 ago (+2/-0)

Means nothing to you, because you're to stupid to understand it. It's actually well understood. Read, and learn something https://www.astronomy.com/science/how-does-gravity-affect-photons-that-is-bend-light-if-photons-have-no-mass/.

It means about as much as a jew telling me 6 million of them were holocausted.

[ - ] big_fat_dangus 1 point 9 monthsAug 4, 2024 17:39:55 ago (+1/-0)

So you're too dumb to learn. Who could have seen that coming 😏

[ - ] McNasty [op] 0 points 9 monthsAug 4, 2024 17:49:34 ago (+1/-1)

Are you going to teach me about the Holocaust? What do the jews at NASA say about it?

[ - ] big_fat_dangus 0 points 9 monthsAug 4, 2024 19:00:59 ago (+0/-0)

Flat tard playbook #1: 1. Buh uhm hey what about this other completely unrelated thing!

Terminally predictable.

[ - ] McNasty [op] 1 point 9 monthsAug 4, 2024 19:01:47 ago (+1/-0)

It's in my playbook to question the credibility of authority that affirms the Holocaust?

Lol. No shit. Only a retard wouldn't do such a thing.

[ - ] big_fat_dangus 1 point 9 monthsAug 4, 2024 19:03:24 ago (+1/-0)

All you do is change the subject between your same 2-3 tired prescripted broken record lines which have all been blown the fuck out multiple times. You are just boring me at this point.

[ - ] McNasty [op] 0 points 9 monthsAug 4, 2024 19:04:41 ago (+1/-1)

The projection.

I keep trying to get you focused on this video and answer my question. It's not changing the subject. It's bringing it back.

https://files.catbox.moe/g7vskw.mp4

Is the video fake or not? Don't change the subject on me.
