I touched my thumb with a grinder with a cutting blade.

Fuck it hurt. Pretty sure it touched the bone. Hoping I don't need stitches. It stopped bleeding pretty quick, so I think it's gonna be okay without them.

Do not recommend.

Avoided them. Coworker went and got 3 bandaids for a small nick on my finger. The head maintenance showed up and I had bandaged it up, put a glove on, and was working like nothing happened.

Yes. Definitely. The cut went in at an angle and ib was able to bandage the two lips together with pressure. The bleeding stopped after about 15 minutes. I can feel my wrist getting soar from the trauma. The human body is a miracle thing. Here's to hoping I'm not going to an er tonight for stitches.

dont leave the gauze on all night or it will practically graph itself to your finger and it will hurt like hell tearing it off. Pro tip:if you do then get someone else to tear it off for you.

I did the same with an angle grinder on my thumb, straight down to the bone and through the tendon, operation the next morning. It's never been quite right since, was too quick to be painful however!.

Yeah. The pain started a few hours later. Right on the pad of my thumb. Thank God no tendons or joints. I got distracted by a phone call about a fraudulent purchase on my credit card.

A cutting blade is really thin? Touching the bone is still not good though. Maybe consider getting it checked out. Would an x-ray show a notch?

Yes. Very thin. It didn't reach full rpm but definitely went in deep. Cut is about 1.25" long.

Yeah. I mentioned it somewhere else. I was distracted and was only putting the battery into the grinder. I wouldn't think to grind without gloves.

all of my mandoline/machete/ knife marks have healed beautifully. theres a slight scar from the total flap of skin being torn off from the mandolin but you can only see it if you shine a flashlight on it. The secret is meat. red meat heals.
