That's great and all, but politicians are supposed to be representatives of the people, nothing more. They aren't supposed to have "bargaining power" with the populace. By the time you're seriously considering using the refusal to work to "negotiate" with those who are supposed to represent you, the only real solution is total extermination of the politicians in question.
