The reason you don't see many new products in the US is due to cost and compliance

submitted by GodsNotDead to TellTalk 7 monthsSep 25, 2024 10:30:14 ago (+21/-0)     (TellTalk)

Bringing in any new product line, even established ones is horribly expensive in the US. Other countries, it can be done for a few grand, but the cost instantly jumps by a factor of 10 when the US is involved. This doesn't even get into the state side legalese bullshit of having to deal with 50 state regulatory departments, 1 huge federal government, conflicting rules, insane permit fees for procuring the right to even attempt to start a business. And 50 years ago, people could just open a shop and be good, now opening the shop is a multi 10,000$ ordeal.

Cars got fucked by CAFE, drinks got fucked over by USDA and bullshit approval nonsense, there's an M&A every other day because no one is making enough money (contrary to popular retards, an M&A is BAD for the consumer), the existing players are going into severe debt keeping afloat, everything is closing left and right. I can't count the amount of for lease, for sale signs everywhere, as everything crumbles into dust.

It's all by design. Only the chosen businesses shall thrive.

As an anecdote though the import business of JDM cars is exploding. Something about the age of the car makes it really easy to import and sell.

The second issue is everyone has the cash out mentality, nothing is made to last. No one wants to keep private businesses anymore, its all about the sell off. This leads to companies being run like absolute dog shit, skating on bullshit promises, whilst thousands get their lives destroyed to satisfy the dreams of some asshole psychopath.

Nobody has reason to invest in the country anymore. And I agree with them. Get what you can before the collapse.

There's no choice, everything is massive corporations or what's left of them, but virtually no innovation. There's an asinine amount of global products that are better, cheaper and easier to maintain that are banned in the US. All that so some jew can make more cash
