I'm not familar with ps5 . what you mean no disc drive ?. I thought you could use ps4 game discs in the console, or do mean play cd's and disc movies?.

Think they tried that with the last one. First batch of them comes out with compatibility getting people excited, then they monetise digitising old titles and pay wall them, then 'update' with new hardware that awwww sorry no backwards compatibility any more because um... reasons.

That's a base PS5. The new PS5 Pro is digital only. No disc drive.

Only reason I have a console is because where I used to work I got an incredible discount. I'd never pay full retail for one and mine hasn't been turned on since March I think.

$1600 for the bundle, about $1200 for the console.

For comparison, EB Games usual price for a PS5 Slim With Disc, is $800. Same price for the Xbox Series X.

$1600 isn't going to get you a good gaming PC in Australia. Not one that can run the latest games at 4K, 60 FPS or better on high settings. A NVIDIA 4080 Super graphics card alone costs more than that.

It's definitely something to consider if you're a broke-ass nigger who can't afford a good gaming pc. Assuming you don't already own a normal PS5 or Xbox Series X. I don't think it is worth the cost to upgrade.
