He calls Jesus a Jew, and then before the proof that he wasn't a Jew can be presented, he changes the subject.

So that Jesus the gentile would fulfil the prophesy of being born into the House of David without being biologically descended from David.
To say that Jesus was a Jew is blasphemy. Because it denies the virgin birth, and implies that the Jew Joseph was Jesus' biological father.

Jesus the gentile fulfilled the prophesy, and brought the promise of the spirit to the gentiles.
That's the main point of Christianity.
