@Ragnar...I've been pawed, clawed, jawed and biten but never aggressively, earlier this summer one of my female bears was eating honey out of my hand and for some reason I moved my hand to the side of her mouth and it was a bad move, fucking crushed my finger between her back teeth and she knew it, she stopped short of snipping the end of my finger off...I'm just waiting for this fingernail to fully grow back. Also, note the way a bear eats compared to a dog/wolf, they actually chew their food
@Ragnar...appreciate the concern but nature and I coexist quite well...the only real tense situation I've ever had in the wild was in a morass, I had a Yellow Boa lunge at me, fucking thing straightened right out mid air and just short of my face, I'll never forget it's fucking open jaw and teeth, if that beast had been 20" longer, or if I was 21" closer I would have been fucked...to your reply, me and the bears get along and I guess it can be stated that we're habituated to each other now after all these years. And yes they are well disciplined, but now I have to deal with 5 fucking cubs next year that are a real handful and require lots of energy. But it's nature and I love it.(them)
One day that bear will chomp down on some human. Don't mess with wild animals. Beard are not domesticated.
one of the news stories they use to teach kids not to feed bears here in canada is the case of an old lady who fed the bear that visited her yard because it was so darn cute.
one day it decided the snacks it was being given weren't enough, so it just leaned over and bit off her face instead.
