My husband was on a flight recently and sat down next to a boomer age woman wearing a mask. She pulled out another mask from her purse and asked him would he mind putting it on. He told her he was not putting on a mask and furthermore if she was so frightened then maybe she shouldn’t be on an airplane. She digested this for a few minutes and then removed her own mask. Hahaha. People just need to be told what to do.

Only to prevent the person with the cold from breathing/sneezing on stuff to spread it. And that'll only help a little. I use an N95 for sanding and lawn-mowing, and a big double-can unit for painting.

Before all this retarded “masks and social distancing” nonsense was used to control us, there were legitimate reasons to wear a mask in public. If one was sick with a cold or flu and was forced to go out in public, they would wear a mask to protect others from their coughing and sneezing. It was a courtesy to others. Someone in the food industry would wear a mask to keep from contaminating their product. Same for the medical community, protect their clients from contamination. An old man worked in a store and wore a mask. This was years before the convid. He told me that his wife had cancer and was going through treatments. He wore the mask to try and not take anything home to her.

A few years ago I asked him how she was. She had passed away.

In the populated but very large area I lived, there were very few who didn't mask up. I was one who didn't mask up. Only twice was I approached by the same insane woman at a grocers. I called the management and told them that if I was approached and harrassed again, there was going to be defensive action taken. Oddly enough, one day she wasn't there anymore. She was either fired or transferred.
Gave me a little hope for humanity.
