we did have a tv stolen from a maccas i worked at a few years back. it was funny as fuck. l shaped restaurant, part of the l cant be seen by counter, has an outdoor area with a high glass partition.
i walk out to clean and notice the wall looks oddly bare. realise tv isnt there. couldnt remember if there earlier. go ask boss if someone has picked up the tv for some reason. asks what tv. forgets there even is a tv on the dining room wall. walks out. sees empty plug, remembers theres normally a tv there. checks cameras.

two teens just pull it off the wall and pass it over the glass partition and fuck off.

still better than calow hospital derbyshire in '10 tho. gypsies walking straight in to the waiting room, ripping ALL the tvs off the walls plus a couple of in use computer monitors, walk out, drive off. no one stops em.

I've only encountered one gypsy in loss prevention in the states. He was slippery. Irish travellers are barely the more common.

I drove for a guy that was shoplifting boxed MYOB (my your own business) computer disc software for small business (accounting/ payroll / inventory etc).
Iirc, They were worth $299-399 a box way back in the day, the pawn shop was giving him $120 a box.
Every second day until the Store eventually realized all this inventory had disappeared without a sale.

Long story short he got nabbed for theft / sale of stolen merchandise. Store got back about $8 000 dollars of product - minus all the ones the pawn shop had sold about another $4000.
The pawn shop was pissed at him - for their lost money they paid him (as well as having to return it all back to the store).
