Just keep talking about it. A lot of people really do believe it is for hygiene because that's what the joos have told them and that idea is reinforced at all opportunities.

I believe trends are changing based on my personal experience though. When my 13 y/o was born they literally harassed us about it over days until we had to get loud. When my five year old was born they asked us once and never brought it up again. This was two different hospitals but I like to believe it is becoming less common to mutilate our boys.
