In the days of yonder we had project generators, binding generators, attribute generators, abstraction trees, T4 templates. No one complained when these came out. And yet now, people are complaining about AI. The thing is, I love the AI for writing boilerplate shit i dont care about. It isnt really fixing much more than giving me boilerplate and inspiration for stuff i didnt care about. And yet, people think its gonna replace everyone's job, etc. Im sure it could replace some jobs, but most of those jobs were boilerplate filler jobs to begin with. If anything it highlights just how destructive diversity mandates were because most of the "lost" jobs are from busy body minorities and useless seat warmers.
As a real coder, I basically treat my ai like my bitch for anything, as you mentioned, I'm now too lazy to bother with. I also have to correct it... a lot. But it is fancy to be able to say
"See this function: {paste}, rewrite it but do this this and this instead of this."
30s and a verification or two sure beats the shit out of refactoring by hand.
