I've also been getting 1 minute unskippable ads on Spotify starting within the last week or so. It's fucking irritating and worse than jewtube.

i still use winamp with my own collection of music. used to have spotify,deezer and amazon music but decided to rely on my own library for free

I have a shit-ton of music on external hard drives & my library of CDs, cassettes and vinyl I've been building since I was 10. Physical is the way to go because eventually those items will be rare. It's almost like a retirement fund for me - when I'm an old man & need to pay my rent on my pod, I'll sell a cd, shirt, vinyl, video game or even souvenirs & they'll be worth almost as much as some small pieces of artwork by Picasso or Van Gogh, adjusting for inflation in 50 years.
