There's 50,000 of them. Offer a payout and the choice to accept US naturalization or repatriate to Denmark. It's too much territory and vast resources for 50,000 people to defend, even if Denmark steps in. China and Russia are going to steam roll them unless the US intervenes, and if the US is going to be defending the territory, it should at least be theirs.
