Ive read a couple of studies on the subject. The distribution (of % white ancestry) is skewed toward higher white ancestry, but the median value of white ancestry is still 20% and very few american blacks have less than 8 or 10% white ancestry. There was much less miscegenation among haitian blacks. They are very close to pure bred.

Well, one way of telling what the source of white DNA is by looking at the y chromosomal haplogroups in blacks. Blacks have few mitochondrial haplogroups that indicate european matrilineality. There are around 6x the frequency of Eurasian Y choromosomal haplogroups in AAs: about 1/3 of AAs are patrilineally European. So most of the White ancestry in AAs is from White males. And that 1/3 is mostly Hapogroup R1b, which indicates (mostly) western European gentile (specifically “steppe herder”) It could be that alot of this white paternal source is Iberian/latino, as a lot of slaves came to the US through the Caribbean. Latinos have very high frequency of R1b. But the jewish haplogroups are missing from AAs. You would see high frequency of J1 and J2, maybe G2, if theyre baby daddies were jews. You don’t see any of that. You see a lot of haplogroup E in AAs but its not the right kind of E that would be seen in jews. Its an “african” variety of E.
