No. The president can pardon you for anything you may or may not have done. If he writes a pardon for you covering anything from 2020 to now and you were on a 4 year federal crime spree, you just got a get out of jail free card. You're still on the hook for any state crimes, but that's a different story altogether. If you didn't do anything from 2020 to now, the feds won't even bother investigating because your pardon covers that time period.
i have no idea as the constitution doesnt give the prez to give pardons to non criminals. this whole thing is questionable and probably illegal as well since the idea is to give these ppl immunity from prosecution via double jeopardy
trouble is they havent been accused of anything, so it should be bogus it this faces a court of law
It was done before and has not been challenged. Ford pardonned Nixon before Nixon could.have been formally accused. The presidential power to pardon is unchecked.
No. Your rage is disproportionate to the conversation. It's conspicuous. Go beat up a nigger kid or push and old indian lady down some steps if you need to blow off steam.
The President shall be Commander in Chief of the Army and Navy of the United States, and of the Militia of the several States, when called into the actual Service of the United States; he may require the Opinion, in writing, of the principal Officer in each of the executive Departments, upon any Subject relating to the Duties of their respective Offices, and he shall have Power to grant Reprieves and Pardons for Offences against the United States, except in Cases of Impeachment.
And you need anger management courses. I stand corrected in my previous statement. So what happens now, do you jerk off if I get really angry at your post? I don't get it. It's a dry topic. I think the pardons are irrelevant. They don't exclude civil penalties. They don't prevent criminal litigation. They just exempt the recipient from imprisonment - or death. Let Fauci's pardon fly... Even money says there will be a class action. It's all theater anyway, lets see how it all plays out.

Ha! Wouldn't That be Great! Get a "blank check" presidential pardon! So this must mean that now they can do A-n-y-thing they want and they can't be charged with a crime!
yeah the issue here is that they havent been accused of anything in a court of law so yes this could grant them a defacto immunity for future crimes? the whole thing is pretty bizarre and could lead so serious abuses going forward by the pardoned people
That does not matter. They are forgiven of any and all crimes they committed or may have committed. Npw there is no point in investigating on the federal level because if any wrongdoing was found, they have a pardon to clear it.
A federal pardon can be issued prior to the start of a legal case or inquiry, prior to any indictments being issued, for unspecified offenses, and prior to or after a conviction for a federal crime.
I'm not an attorney, but pardons appear to be pretty open ended.
In practice though, Hunter appeared to get a pardon for "anything he did or might be accused of having done" from (I think) 2014 to the present. Biden specified the person, not a case. So far his pardons have been uncontested, and have been blankets, sheets, pillows, and the entire bed.

That would be Trump taking down the entire US government. I see he's 'actually' keeping some of his promises this time, but promises to the jews too. I'm remaining skeptical based on his past behaviors.
And yeah, I think he's just slowing down the collapse for a few more years. I'm ambivalent about it. I kinda want it to start and get it over with, but I also like eating.
Miley shouldn't get a pardon, he knowingly committed treason going over Trumps head.telling the Chinese government that he would let them know if Trump was going to attack.

They can do as they damned well wish. They only need to have the will to do it. They already have the force and judicial system to enforce it.
