I’ve never fasted. Tell me about it, if you would. Best I’ve done is a vegetarian day. I juice, eat a homemade salad, some veggies at night, in that order from morning on.

Fasting is amazing. I done the 18-4 --4 hour eating window-- then on some days I fast for 24-36 hours. That's, of course, after doing it for a while. You dont wanna just jump into it. Once you haven't ate for 20 hours I felt my body kickin ass. Its a weird good feeling.

If you’ve ever looked into the zero carb or ketogenic diets, they work because the body becomes fat-adapted. So you force yourself to eat almost no carbohydrates but plenty of animal fats with moderate protein. After a week, you burn through all your water weight and can expect to be in ketosis. After a few weeks, you’ll find your appetite is diminished since your body has unlocked all of the calories stored in body fat.

From there, it becomes incredibly easy to fast. It’s a psychological challenge because it’s boring as hell. But if you get plenty of electrolytes, you won’t feel hunger. I start my day with a teaspoon of salt mixed into water. Took some chicken broth and mixed in plenty of salt, and it kept me from feeling shitty. Boiled it with some celery.

Anyway, this aligns nicely to the zero carb fags and the counting calories fags. Zero Carb diets are a tool to reduce hunger. Then the real fat loss begins when you can consume less food. I’ll bet there’s some others here that can speak on it. Maybe I’ll make a post about it here.

My goal this year is to get six pack abs which I haven’t had in over a decade.

Was into keto around 2015-2017. I felt that i was at my peak. People always said that I looked younger than previously. Id like to go back to the but my wife has gallbladder issues and the high fat fucks with her and we just eat the same thing. We both did the keto back then. She just can’t now and it’s not easy to do when you always have to make a separate meal. I’ve got a decent sized family and I just eat what they eat. Its healthy nonetheless but not keto.

I know what you mean. My wife has alpha gal. I don't get to eat a lot of beef and pork anymore. It's lots and lots of chicken and fish. We've eaten so much chicken I think I will start clucking just any day now.

The Tempranillo I referenced is estate bottled, 15 miles from my house. They also do a rose of that Tempranillo at the same location.
The fruit is the fruit, no matter where it is grown. They wouldn’t grow this variety if it wasn’t suited to the volcanic soil of the region.
Yes, it’s a transplant, but I’m not going to Spain anytime soon and this wine is right in my backyard.
