I'm gonna seriously dispute the claim that Mrs. Doubtfire is a tranny. No, no, no. Dressing up as a woman was this man's only method, in a totally feminized world, to see his kids. This bitch divorced him because she met Mr. Chad at work and because (the last straw) he let his kids have a birthday party when she prohibited it. Then, the courts side with her and tell him he can't see his kids.

Becoming the nanny was next-level warfare. He couldn't see his kids as either (i) the man he actually was or (ii) as a different man, which would have required him to just romance his wife again, but in disguise. He figured out a way to see his kids when the world told him he couldn't.

I get it, only way he could see his kids, but I still think it is social engineering to normalize the cross-dressing as a "comedy". Just not my thing.
